Motion in Mind Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally sensitive Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time role. Work Environment

This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with patients in a flexible manner while utilizing technology to maintain high-quality care. Our outpatient office operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of some flexible scheduling based on patient needs. You will be supported by a diverse team of professionals committed to collaboration and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' unique circumstances and create tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, ensuring they are adapted to reflect patients' cultural backgrounds.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health care professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive support to patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, utilizing strong de-escalation skills to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to enhance recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions focused on cultural competency and staff development.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment, integrating this knowledge into your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is particularly aimed at serving a diverse array of patients, including those from ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ populations, and immigrants. You will have the unique opportunity to address mental health challenges in a manner that respects and understands cultural nuances, fostering trust and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of Florida.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and the principles of cultural competence in therapy.
  • Experience delivering individual and group therapy in a culturally responsive manner.
  • Strong crisis intervention abilities and resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the development of trusting relationships with patients.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
  • A dedication to maintaining ethical standards, professional boundaries, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
