Remote Planogram Analyst information

What is a remote planogram analyst?

Remote planogram analysts are professionals who create, review, and optimize store shelf layouts (planograms) from a remote location. They use specialized software to design product displays that maximize sales and ensure compliance with merchandising standards. By analyzing sales data, inventory levels, and store space, they help retailers improve product placement and shopper experience. These analysts often collaborate with in-store teams and suppliers through virtual meetings and digital tools.

How do remote planogram analysts typically collaborate with in-store teams and other departments to ensure planogram compliance?

Remote Planogram Analysts frequently work closely with in-store teams, merchandising managers, and inventory specialists to ensure that product layouts are accurately implemented. Collaboration usually happens via virtual meetings, shared digital platforms, and detailed planogram documentation. Analysts provide clear visual guidelines and may offer virtual walkthroughs or troubleshooting support to address any discrepancies. Regular communication and feedback loops help maintain compliance and adapt layouts based on sales data or store feedback, making strong remote communication skills essential for success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote planogram analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Planogram Analyst, you need a solid background in merchandising, spatial planning, and data analysis, often backed by a degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with planogram software like JDA (now Blue Yonder), Nielsen Spaceman, or Apollo, as well as proficiency in Excel, is typically required. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for collaborating with teams and interpreting client needs. These competencies ensure accurate shelf planning, drive sales performance, and support seamless remote collaboration with retailers and manufacturers.

Job description

Description

Looking for an amazing new claims opportunity?  Senior Complex Construction Claims Specialist - Complex CGL & Construction Liability (Litigated, $500K+)

Overview

Liberty Mutual's Specialized Claims group has an immediate opening on our Complex Construction Claims Team. We're seeking an experienced claims professional who thrives on challenging, high-exposure commercial casualty matters arising from construction operations - including complex Commercial General Liability (CGL) and Construction Injury/Liability claims (all litigated or high-exposure losses $500,000+). You will own matters end-to-end, managing coverage and liability strategy, directing investigations and experts, coordinating litigation and outside counsel, and driving timely, defensible resolutions for our Construction Industry accounts. (Note: this role does not handle construction defect claims.)

Why this role is a great fit for you

  • Work exclusively on technically complex, high-exposure construction-related casualty claims that require advanced legal and claims judgment.
  • Autonomy to set strategy, reserves and resolution plans, with authority to direct investigations and manage outside counsel and experts.
  • Opportunity to influence outcomes across underwriting, product and legal teams and to be a recognized technical resource on construction liability issues.
  • Exposure to multi-party, catastrophic injury and cross-coverage matters - valuable experience for senior claims leaders and litigators.
  • Flexibility with structure. This role is primarily remote, with a light-touch office cadence - just two in-office days per month for those who live within 50 miles of one of our hub locations in Boston, MA; Hoffman Estates, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Lake Oswego, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Plano, TX; Suwanee, GA; Chandler, AZ; and Weatogue, CT.  Policy is subject to change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex, litigated construction-related losses ($500K+) from assignment through resolution: coverage analysis, liability assessment, investigation planning, reserving, negotiation, settlement or denial where appropriate.
  • Lead coverage interpretation and application for issues commonly encountered in construction claims: additional insureds, tenders, indemnity agreements, other insurance, SIR/deductible mechanics, primary vs. excess placement, and limits erosion.
  • Direct litigation strategy: analyze pleadings, manage discovery and depositions, evaluate venue and trial risk, prepare for mediations and settlement conferences, and recommend and implement resolution strategies.
  • Build and lead the working team for each matter: coordinate Home-Office Legal, defense counsel, SIU when appropriate, medical and causation experts, accident reconstructionist, engineers, and other technical consultants.
  • Select, supervise and evaluate outside counsel, including establishing budgets, staffing plans, billing guidelines expectations, and performance measures.
  • Set and adjust reserves based on defensible analysis and develop settlement strategies that protect the company's interests while advancing timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate, complete file documentation and ensure secure handling of financial transactions and claim information.
  • Collaborate proactively with Underwriting, Risk Control, Reinsurance/Excess, Product and Subrogation teams; identify and communicate trends and technical insights.
  • Mentor and coach less-experienced claims professionals and contribute to team training, process improvements, and special projects.

What we seek in a candidate

An experienced claims professional with a strong Commercial General Liability and/or Construction Liability background (preferably with claims $500,000 and above), sound judgment on complex coverage and liability questions, and the confidence to lead files, mentor others, and manage litigation strategy independently.

Qualifications

What we're looking for - Required

  • Substantial hands-on experience handling complex, litigated Commercial General Liability and/or Construction Liability claims at high exposure levels (preferably $500,000+).
  • Deep working knowledge of CGL and Construction Liability coverages and typical construction-related policy issues (additional insured wording, contractual indemnity, other insurance, primary/excess interaction, SIRs/deductibles).
  • Proven litigation management experience: selecting/managing defense counsel, directing discovery strategy, preparing for mediation/trial, evaluating exposure and settlement leverage.
  • Strong technical judgment and the ability to articulate and defend coverage and liability positions to legal, underwriting, and management partners.
  • Track record of using and directing experts (medical, causation, engineers, reconstruction) on complex causation and damages issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority matters and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) and relevant claims/insurance industry certifications or licenses as applicable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain needed All-lines Adjuster license.  Claims/Industry certifications a plus!
