Security Officer Part Time Identity Verification

As a Security Officer Part Time Identity Verification in Yonkers, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, maintaining awareness of activity, and communicating professionally with residents, visitors, and team members. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, follow site procedures, and deliver reliable service with integrity, teamwork, and care.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.74 - $17.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime

Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, document visitor and contractor activity, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity according to site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
