This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing counselors to create their ideal work-life balance. Your working hours will typically be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

• Conduct thorough assessments that respect and reflect the cultural backgrounds of clients, utilizing strength-based approaches for intervention.
• Develop personalized therapy plans that incorporate skill-building techniques aimed at enhancing client resilience and self-efficacy.
• Formulate safety, crisis, and wellness plans tailored specifically to the unique needs of each client, ensuring that they have actionable strategies to manage challenges effectively.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development workshops to enhance clinical skills and therapeutic techniques.

You will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Each client presents unique experiences and requires tailored interventions, allowing you to flex your therapeutic skills and creativity in treatment approaches.

• A Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
• Must possess an active Virginia license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to articulate complex client needs and dynamics.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a mental health counselor or therapist in a community health setting.
• Experience with evidence-based therapies and techniques that drive positive client outcomes.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote therapy sessions.
