• Conduct regular assessments, both initial and ongoing, to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Deliver various forms of therapy including individual, family, and group sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to clients’ needs.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and refine treatment plans that support the overall therapeutic goals of our clientele.
• Document client interactions and progress meticulously in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal requirements.
• Follow up with clients to monitor improvements and adapt approaches based on feedback and efficacy of the treatment.

The therapist in this role will work primarily with clients facing the dual challenges of substance use disorders and associated mental health conditions. This population requires a nuanced understanding of the complex interactions within familial and romantic relationships as they work toward recovery. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through the healing process, utilizing therapeutic techniques that address both individual and systemic issues within families.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or a closely related field is required.
• A valid and active LMFT license in California, without any restrictions such as suspension or probation.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a leadership role within an outpatient treatment setting, showcasing your ability to manage client portfolios and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to create a supportive atmosphere for clients and facilitate effective collaboration with team members.

• Familiarity with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to incorporate mindfulness techniques into therapy is beneficial.
• Experience utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a plus.
