Overview

How you can make a difference  

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling HealthEquity's core products within a defined region. Responsibilities include prospect identification, pipeline development, and closing contracts for distribution to HealthEquity partners and direct employers (primarily small groups of 0-250 US employees). The role also involves sales presentations, conference/training participation, and relationship building with brokers, partners, and employers in the assigned region.

What you'll be doing 

  • Responsible for end-to-end sales cycle for small to mid-sized employers & driving revenue  
  • Participates in territory seminars that may include Continuing Education (CE) credits  
  • Cultivates and grows broker relationships in territory to explain joint HSA / CDB solution  
  • Participates in sales meetings with partners as the Subject Matter Experts on HSA / CDB  
  • Performs sales presentations & demos via phone and online conference calls  
  • Consults with employers & brokers to determine the best mixture of HealthEquity's bundle of products, pricing, and partners  
  • Applies business acumen to close sales and establish the best plan and partnership for each opportunity.  
  • Leverages sequence and cadence tools to enhance efficiency throughout the sales cycle.  
  • Manages a large pipeline of opportunities through Salesforce.com  
  • Collaborates extensively with Regional Sales Executives and internal stakeholders.  
  • Creates, tracks, and updates internal systems, including Salesforce CRM, for accurate reporting.  
  • Maintains specific knowledge of Health Savings Account (HSA), Consumer Directed Benefits (CDB) accounts, COBRA, Wellness Products, and HealthEquity's internal administration processes for these accounts.  

 What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field strongly preferred
  • 5+ years in a selling evironment partnering with brokers and/or B2B directly
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM  
  • Experience working with Outreach.io or similar sequence/cadence systems  
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively  
  • Ability to work independently and manage their own schedule. Schedules may vary and include sales calls, prospecting, follow ups, contracting, introduction and OE meetings  
  • Comfortable with multiple & changing technology requirements  
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills  
  • Experience working within multi-state territories preferred  
  • Extensive knowledge of the group health industry & HealthEquity products (HSA, FSA, HRA, COBRA, Commuter, Wellness, etc)  
  • Highly detail-oriented  
  • Proven B2B phone sales experience in a closing role  
  • Strong phone presence 
  • Track record of over-achieving quota  

Travel Requirements: Occasional overnight travel required, about 10% of the time

Compensation Structure:

Base salary (range noted below) plus monthly commissions paid through our Sales Incentive Program (SIP)

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position is also eligible for additional sales incentive commissions, and details regarding these additional sales incentive commissions will be provided after hire. This position will further be eligible for a full range of benefits including:

Onboarding & Travel

This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity's immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations. 

This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
