What is a remote pharmacy tech?

A remote pharmacy tech, or remote pharmacy technician, is a healthcare professional who assists pharmacists with preparing and dispensing medications while working from a location outside of a traditional pharmacy, often from home. Their responsibilities may include processing prescriptions, managing medication records, handling insurance claims, and providing customer service, all using secure online systems. Remote pharmacy techs rely on digital communication and specialized software to collaborate with pharmacists and support patients efficiently. This role offers greater flexibility and can help expand pharmacy services to underserved areas.

How to make 2000 a week working from home?

A remote pharmacy technician can potentially earn $2,000 weekly by working full-time hours, gaining experience, and possibly earning overtime or bonuses. Increasing income may also involve taking on multiple shifts, working for high-paying employers, or obtaining certifications that qualify for higher-paying roles. Building skills in medication management and using pharmacy software can improve earning potential in a remote setting.

How do remote pharmacy technicians typically collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams while working off-site?

Remote pharmacy technicians regularly communicate with pharmacists and healthcare teams through secure digital platforms, such as email, chat, and video calls. They assist with medication order entry, insurance claims processing, and patient inquiries, ensuring all actions are double-checked by a licensed pharmacist before finalization. RxAnte is on a mission to improve people's health by helping them get more from medicines. A rapidly growing, tech-enabled healthcare services company with over 30 million lives under management, RxAnte has become a leading provider of value-based pharmacy care management solutions for health plans.

RxAnte launched Mosaic Pharmacy Service in 2019, a wholly owned subsidiary designed to offer pharmacy and chronic care management services for our clients' most medically complex and vulnerable members. How You'll Make a Difference

In this role, you will be the first voice new patients hear at Mosaic, guiding them through onboarding by conducting telephone and video consultations, gathering medication history, reconciling prescriptions, and preparing them for a smooth start with our pharmacy.

Your work directly supports medically complex and vulnerable seniors across the country, giving them a trusted, empathetic guide from their very first interaction and helping make their medication regimens safer, simpler, and more affordable.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new patients by phone and video, guiding them through onboarding.
  • Conduct comprehensive medication history interviews and reconcile prescriptions.
  • Educate patients on Mosaic's pharmacy services and benefits.
  • Synchronize medication regimens and schedule the initial medication shipment.
  • Contact previous pharmacies to coordinate prescription transfers.
  • Collaborate with prescribers to obtain new prescriptions.
  • Address patient questions about insurance, costs, and coverage, and support claims processing and third-party billing issues.
  • Enter prescription details accurately into the pharmacy system for precise, timely medication fulfillment.
  • Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in the pharmacy management system.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting with direct patient interaction, such as home health, hospital, primary or specialty care, or pharmacy.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including empathetic listening and clear verbal and written expression.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software and general computer applications.
  • Availability to work a full-time 8.5-hour shift, Monday through Friday, scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern, with the exact shift confirmed at hire and occasional overtime based on patient needs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Preferred

  • 1 to 2 years of call center experience.
  • Experience collecting medication histories.

Conditions of Employment

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is $26.00 to $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range is determined by factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.
