Summary

GainwellRx is our solution and business platform to support states and Medicaid members across the country for prescription drug related business processes and member experiences. The Director, Pharmacy Program Strategy will serve a key role within the pharmacy business and will interface with all leaders of the executive leadership team, State Sector Leaders, Account General Managers, and industry vendors/partners. The role directly supports Gainwell's pharmacy growth strategies, opportunity pipeline, projections, state strategies, and financial performance. 

The Director, Pharmacy Programs is a strategic thinkerwho analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to develop effective product and program strategies.They work closely with market, sales, operations, and productteams to ensure that new programs and solutions meet the needs of customers, regulatory requirements, and corporate goals. The Director, Pharmacy Program Strategy has overall responsibility of pharmacy program development, design, execution, and performance.

Your role in our mission
  • Overall responsibility for Pharmacy program design, development, execution and performance.  
  • Market surveillance, understanding of market demands and client pain points to ensure robust and competitive offering of Pharmacy programs, services, and solutions. 
  • Provides analysis of financial performance, pharmacy business growth forecasts, business pipeline projections, and new solution value modeling. 
  • Partners with VP of Growth, State Sector Leaders, and Account General Managers for analysis of bid pipeline and development of state strategies. 
  • Supports state needs through RFP and bid proposals in support of the Pharmacy Center of Excellence organization. 
  • Drives key initiatives in support of strategy, pharmacy growth, and business development. 
  • Reports status of key initiatives and aligns resources across the organization for delivery of key strategies. 
  • Supports executive team in development of growth plans and market strategies. 
  • Drives development of strategy materials and presentations. 
  • Drives analysis in support of business development projects and senior leadership key initiatives. 
  • Supports analysis for Pharmacy segment P&L management. 
  • Supports Pharmacy executive team on Rx cost optimization strategies. 
  • Delivers analysis and support for business cases for new investments. 
  • Serves as an industry expert on GainwellRx, interfacing with external clients, vendors, and business partners. 
  • Drives new ideas, partners with states on new concepts, and works with teams to deliver models to support them. 
What we're looking for
  • Advanced degree and/or 10+ years of pharmacy related experience 
  • Key skillsets tied to strategic planning, communication, and financial analysis 
  • Experience interacting with clients in the healthcare industry 
  • Track record of cross-functional leadership of teams and projects spanning people, process, and technology 
  • Excellent communications skills, with ability to communicate externally and with senior executives

The pay range for this position is $128,100.00 - $183,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
