What are remote pet travel jobs?

Remote pet travel jobs involve helping pet owners plan and coordinate the transportation of their pets, often across long distances or internationally, while working from a location outside of a traditional office. These roles may include tasks like booking flights or ground transport for animals, ensuring compliance with travel regulations, preparing necessary documentation, and providing customer support. Some positions focus on logistics, while others may specialize in customer service or pet relocation consulting. Working remotely allows professionals in this field to assist clients and manage pet travel arrangements online or by phone, providing flexibility and the ability to serve customers worldwide.

Professionals in remote pet travel coordination often face challenges such as navigating complex international regulations, managing last-minute changes to travel plans, and ensuring the safety and comfort of pets during transit. Effective communication with airlines, pet owners, and logistics partners is crucial to address unexpected issues quickly. Staying organized, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of animal transport regulations, and leveraging digital tools for scheduling and documentation can help manage these challenges and ensure a smooth travel experience for pets and their owners.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Pet Travel Coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Pet Travel Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of animal transportation regulations, typically supported by experience in logistics or pet care and sometimes certifications like IPATA membership. These skills ensure pets travel safely and efficiently while providing owners with peace of mind throughout the process.

Job description

Overnight In-Home Pet Sitter

Boulder County • Superior • Erie • Golden • Arvada

Do you love dogs?

Like... really love dogs?

Do you find yourself stopping mid-conversation to say hi to every dog that walks by?

Do you enjoy spending time with animals more than most people?

If so, keep reading.

Your Pet Staycations is a growing premium pet care company based in Boulder County, and we're looking for dependable animal lovers to join our team of Overnight In-Home Pet Sitters.

As our business continues to grow (including the exciting addition of our new Main Street Superior storefront!), we're building a Core Team of dedicated sitters who genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and providing exceptional care while their humans are away.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

This is true overnight pet sitting.

That means:

• Staying overnight in clients' homes

• Sleeping in the home with the pets

• Going on walks

• Giving belly rubs

• Playing fetch

• Providing companionship

• Sending adorable photo updates

• Following care instructions and routines

• Making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families travel

Many of our clients become long-term repeat clients and often request the same sitter again and again.

If you love building relationships with both pets and their people, you'll probably love this role.

The Most Important Requirement

Our clients choose us because we provide a higher level of care than traditional boarding facilities or drop-in services.

Because of that, sitters must have enough flexibility in their schedule to return for pet check-ins approximately every ~4 hours throughout the day.

This role works especially well for:

• Remote workers

• Freelancers

• Graduate students with flexible schedules

• Retirees

• Creatives

• Individuals with highly flexible daytime schedules

This role is generally not compatible with traditional out-of-home 9–5 schedules.

Core Team & Flex Team Opportunities

Core Team

We're currently looking to build a small team of dependable sitters who:

• Want consistent opportunities

• Enjoy building relationships with repeat clients

• Are available for weekends and holidays when needed

• Want to grow alongside a local business

Flex Team

Perfect for sitters who:

• Have more limited availability

• Want occasional opportunities

• Prefer a lower commitment level

• Enjoy earning extra income while spending time with animals

Service Areas

We are actively looking for sitters in:

Superior/Louisville

• Lafayette

• Erie

• Golden

• Arvada

We also serve clients throughout Boulder County and occasionally nearby communities.

Sitters who are willing to occasionally help outside their primary area may receive travel bonuses.

Why People Love Working With Us

• Competitive overnight pay

• Paid meet & greets

• Paid training

• Travel bonuses

• Flexible scheduling

• Lots of dog time

• Supportive team environment

• The opportunity to become a trusted part of pets' lives

A Few Things You'll Need

• A genuine love for animals

• Reliable transportation

• Strong communication skills

• Good judgment and reliability

• Comfort staying overnight in clients' homes

• A smartphone for photos, updates, and scheduling

• Previous pet care experience is a plus

Interested?

Send us:

• A little bit about yourself

• Your location

• Your general availability

• Any pet sitting, animal care, veterinary, shelter, rescue, or dog walking experience - include this in your resume/CV attachment

• Why you think you'd be a great fit

We'd love to hear from you.

Consistent Care. Thoughtful Presence. Every Single Time.
