Job description

CA law firm is seeking a full-time experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney

A prominent Los Angeles-based trial firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join its team. The firm focuses on both personal injury and employment litigation, representing clients in single-plaintiff and complex cases. This role is a fully remote position and is accepting candidates licensed in CA.

We have a nationwide practice, so all attorneys would handle mostly California cases, but get admitted in a few cases out of state. We use local counsel and pro hac vice applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation from inception through trial

  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Oversee discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests

  • Prepare and defend motions, including summary judgment and pre-trial motions

  • Take and defend expert depositions

  • Handle trial preparation, including witness preparation and strategy development

  • Represent clients in mediations, settlement conferences, and trials

  • Negotiate settlements effectively while advocating for clients' best interests

  • Maintain ongoing client communication to ensure informed decision-making throughout litigation

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active California license required; additional license are a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience

  • Trial experience required

  • UBE certification preferred

  • Demonstrated history of strong litigation skills and successful case outcomes

  • Prior experience in a law firm environment preferred

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision while working collaboratively with colleagues
