Key Responsibilities

• Establish positive, trusting relationships with patients to facilitate therapeutic engagement.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of patient needs, ensuring that they remain adaptable to changes in patient circumstances.
• Lead individual and group sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that foster insight and behavioral change.
• Regularly meet with patients for follow-ups, counseling, and to modify treatment plans as necessary, with an aim to monitor their progress and ensure effective treatment.
• Perform ongoing assessments of patient progress, documenting developments, and integrating feedback into future sessions.
• Engage in case management responsibilities, including referring patients to specialists when additional support is required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse patient population, ranging from individuals seeking personal growth to couples navigating relationship challenges and families facing systemic issues. Counselors will work with clients experiencing various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. The therapist's approach will be holistic, considering each client's unique context, family dynamics, and cultural background.

Qualifications

• A valid and current LMFT license, permitting practice in Massachusetts.
• A master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities relevant to family therapy and mental health treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or dual experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience in utilizing therapeutic frameworks, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide treatment.
• Knowledge of contemporary practices for addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Compensation and Benefits
