Job description

VetsEZ is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer / VistA Developer to support a government IT contract. This role will involve configuring and maintaining VistA systems, installing patches, managing user accounts, and providing user support. The candidate will work collaboratively with other technical engineers and operate within a SAFe/Agile framework.

The candidate must reside within the continental US. Responsibilities Configure, customize, and maintain VistA systems to meet project and client requirements. Install and test VistA patches, ensuring system integrity and functionality.

Manage and administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Provide direct support to users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve VistA-related problems promptly. Collaborate and coordinate with other IT technical engineers to ensure system compatibility and performance.

Participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies and support agile development processes. Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, patch management, and user support. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or VistA Developer supporting government IT environments. Handsโ€on experience configuring and patching VistA systems. Demonstrated ability to manage user accounts and provide user support.

Strong collaboration and communication skills to interface effectively with users and technical teams. Working knowledge of SAFe/Agile methodologies. Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (existing clearance is a plus).

Relevant certifications or VistAโ€specific training are highly desirable. Additional Qualifications Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development. Experience working in the federal government IT space.

Familiarity with VA environment is a plus. Ability to obtain a government clearance.
