At Penn E&R, we empower professionals to create lasting, positive impact through environmental remediation, civil engineering design, and regulatory guidance that protect ecosystems, restore land, and improve infrastructure. Whether you're cleaning up a former industrial site or designing a stormwater management system for a new development, your work here contributes to a safer, more sustainable world.
Bring your creativity, resourcefulness, and drive to Penn E&R, where every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and lead. Ready to take on what's next? Let's make it happen together!
Based in Pennsylvania, we are seeking a strategic remote hire in the state of New York to support regional growth across this targeted state market. This role is ideal for a senior-level civil/site engineer who has progressed through hands-on technical work and is ready to leverage that experience in a client-facing, growth-oriented position.
You will act as a senior technical representative in-market, helping expand our presence, win new work, and support client relationships - while remaining fully remote and closely integrated with our internal teams.
Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • P.E. a plus
  • Approximately 8+ years of professional experience (mid- to senior-level)
  • Hands-on experience including, but not limited to:
    • Civil/site design
    • Grading
    • Civil 3D
  • Demonstrated technical credibility to support client-facing activities
  • A career path that reflects having "come up through the ranks"
  • Highly self-driven and self-starting
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Able to balance client relationships, technical execution (with internal support), and eventually business development activities

Company Support & Resources
We will provide you with the tools and support needed for success, including:
  • Company laptop, docking station, and dual monitors
  • Cell phone
  • Transportation support:
    • Vehicle stipend for personal vehicle or
    • Company car for business-related use
  • Support from Pennsylvania based teams

Integration & Communication
We place a strong emphasis on avoiding "remote isolation." This role includes:
  • Participation in weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings
  • Approximately 15 standing meetings throughout the year
  • Regular communication with executive leadership
  • Clear executive-level visibility and support

We know that great work happens when people feel supported both on and off the job. That's why we offer balance and benefits that support you.
  • Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses
