Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering who will lead the strategy, design, and execution of Developer ExperienceandPerformanceTesting andOptimizationwithin our engineering teams. This role will oversee multiple agile development teams,ensuringscalable, high-performing software solutions while fostering a developer-centric environment.

This role embraces a customer-centric approach to technical product management, where engineers are the customers. The goal is to continuously enhance developer experience by delivering high-quality tools, optimized workflows, and seamless integrations that empower engineers to build, test, and deploy efficiently. By applying a product mindset, this role will focus on usability, automation, and performance, ensuring engineering teams have access to intuitive, scalable, and highly optimized solutions that reduce friction in development processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams spanning discovery, design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement. As a hands-on leader, you will drive platform excellence, shaping best practices in automation, tooling, and performance engineering.

This role requires a passion for mentorship, innovation, and efficiency, ensuring engineering teams have the right tools, processes, and optimizations to accelerate development,maintainquality, and enhance performance across Inspira's technology landscape.

This position reports to the Sr.Director,Software Engineering within the Technology department.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Platform Optimization

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of platform infrastructure and services supporting Developer Experience, performance engineering, and testing automation.
  • Develop andmaintainroadmaps and architectures, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of developer tooling and infrastructure.
  • Champion CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring, and logging frameworks to drive development efficiency.
  • Apply deepexpertisein cloud computing, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools tooptimizeengineering workflows.
  • Define and implement benchmarks and quality measures for system performance and developer efficiency.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.

Collaboration & Engineering Enablement

  • Partner with product owners, developers, and stakeholders toidentifyopportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Ensure seamless integration of developer workflows, aligning tools, best practices, and automation strategies across teams.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Developer Experience team, reducing friction in development processes.

Problem Solving & Performance Optimization

  • Proactivelyidentifyand resolve bottlenecks, ensuring minimal downtime andoptimalperformance.
  • Build andmaintainrobust monitoring and alerting systems to track andoptimizeperformance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues, implementing long-term solutions to enhance reliability.
