Position Overview

Carmona Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This predominantly remote role provides an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the mental health of diverse clients seeking support in their journeys toward emotional well-being and resilience. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients' mental health challenges, strengths, and available support resources.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, establishing clear, achievable goals and interventions per the client's needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care to clients.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups to enrich the therapeutic experience for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families from varying backgrounds. You will engage with clients who are experiencing issues such as relationship challenges, personal trauma, grief, and mental health disorders. Our center is committed to making mental health support accessible, which emphasizes the importance of understanding and relating to clients from different walks of life, including cultural, socioeconomic, and personal histories.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (or related field) from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment protocols.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills that effectively support clinical interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health or outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits
