Our client has been a leading provider of Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services since 2007. With a focus on delivering exceptional client care, they specialize in supporting small-to-medium-sized businesses. Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven PEO Sales Representative to join their growing sales team. This role is responsible for generating new business through direct prospecting, consultative selling, and developing strategic referral partnerships.

The ideal candidate understands that employee benefits are the primary driver of the PEO value proposition and is skilled at positioning comprehensive HR and benefits solutions to business owners and decision-makers. Success in this role requires a proactive hunter mentality, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to cultivate long-term referral sources.

This is a remote position, with a requirement to attend monthly meetings at their southern California office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new PEO business through outbound prospecting, networking, and consultative sales efforts.
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with:
    • Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)
    • Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Brokers
    • Employee Benefits/Health Insurance Brokers
    • Fractional CFOs and financial consultants
    • Other trusted business advisors
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to consistently exceed sales goals.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to identify clients' HR, payroll, benefits, compliance, and workforce challenges.
  • Present customized PEO solutions that emphasize employee benefits, talent acquisition, retention, and operational efficiencies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through implementation and account transition.
  • Collaborate with internal underwriting, benefits, payroll, and implementation teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting within the CRM.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of successful outside B2B sales experience.
  • Previous experience selling PEO, employee benefits, payroll, HR technology, or related business services strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business through self-sourced prospecting.
  • Experience developing referral partnerships with CPAs, insurance brokers, consultants, and professional advisors.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for client meetings and networking events.
