Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients through culturally sensitive methods, identifying their individual strengths and needs.
• Develop tailored therapy interventions and personalized treatment plans to promote skill acquisition and enhance coping strategies.
• Implement crisis management and safety planning techniques to equip clients with necessary tools to handle emergencies effectively.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops focusing on mental health education, peer support, and community building.
• Maintain timely documentation in compliance with telehealth regulations and organizational policies, ensuring accurate records of client progress.
• Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss case management and share insights that contribute to continuous improvement of services.
• Monitor client engagement and progression, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your ability to connect and empathize with clients from varying backgrounds is critical in fostering a safe space for healing and personal development.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
• An active and valid LCSW, LMFT, or LPC license issued in Virginia.
• Strong ability to assess client needs and respond to complex mental health concerns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in telehealth practices and technology, demonstrating adaptability in virtual counseling settings.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, with a proven track record of successfully treating diverse populations.
• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Crisis Intervention strategies and experience in emergency response situations.

Compensation and Benefits
