Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique goals and requirements of each client.
• Provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Monitor client progress toward established therapy milestones, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client interactions.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in training sessions, workshops, and supervision.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
• Document all clinical interactions and update client records in compliance with organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is critical in supporting a diverse client population, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds. You will work with clients facing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. Your ability to create a safe, inclusive, and empathetic environment will empower clients to express their concerns and achieve meaningful change.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• An active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in Vermont.
• Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) providing mental health counseling to individuals and families.
• Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT, or ACT.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients quickly and effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for documentation and client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting or with underrepresented populations is a plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and platforms for remote counseling.
• Training in trauma-informed care or specialized certifications in areas such as addiction, grief counseling, or child therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
