• Conduct thorough assessments utilizing clinical interviews and standardized tools to identify treatment needs and establish goals for individuals seeking substance use disorder treatment.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Provide individual counseling sessions centered around motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches, ensuring a supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to share their experiences and support each other in their recovery journeys.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and support.
• Respond to crises by offering immediate intervention and support during substance-related emergencies, employing tools and techniques to stabilize situations.
• Educate patients and their families on addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support systems.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that meets legal, ethical, and organizational standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance skills and therapy practices.

The ideal candidate will support a diverse patient population, primarily individuals battling substance use disorders. These patients come from various backgrounds and may be at different stages of their recovery journey. The Counselor will work to cultivate a sense of hope and resilience among clients, fostering stronger connections with their families and the community.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrable knowledge of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy in the realm of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and related applications.

• A minimum of one year of experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on substance use disorders.

Touchstone Wellness Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, which may be supplemented with performance bonuses. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates as an incentive to join our mission of providing healing and support.
