As part of our Community Health Clinic, you will have the opportunity to connect with patients from various backgrounds within Maryland, ensuring that mental health support is accessible to everyone.

• Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations to identify barriers to treatment and formulate effective care plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based methodologies, incorporating both individual and group therapy modalities.
• Provide ongoing assessment and modification of treatment plans, adapting strategies to maximize patient health outcomes and improve their psychosocial functioning.
• Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, sharing insights on patients' psychosocial needs to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records, adhering to established department standards regarding the frequency and detailed content of documentation.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and the impact of recommended therapeutic interventions to promote better treatment adherence.
• Complete necessary case-related statistics and reports to inform departmental performance and enhance service delivery.
• Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current on best practices in social work.

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals and families facing a wide array of psychosocial issues. The position emphasizes working with patients experiencing mental health challenges, chronic illness, and the consequent psychosocial impact on their lives. Your keen understanding of cultural sensitivities and human development stages will guide your interactions and therapeutic approaches.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical assessment techniques and therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to apply ethical standards and professional guidelines in high-pressure situations.

• Between six months to one year of clinical experience in a health or mental health setting.
• Experience working with patients from diverse backgrounds, particularly in community health contexts.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and experience in group therapy settings.
