• Manage a caseload of youth clients, establishing rapport and fostering therapeutic relationships while upholding professional ethics and boundaries.
• Conduct regular sessions to review client progress, discuss therapy goals, and address any concerns or obstacles, leading to timely discharge when appropriate.
• Develop, implement, and constantly monitor personalized, strengths-based treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and treatment outcomes for each client, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Perform comprehensive intake assessments that include mental health evaluations and risk assessments to guide individualized care planning.
• Engage in individual supervision sessions to reflect on practice, enhance professional development, and ensure adherence to best practices in therapy.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educational staff to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Embrace a growth mindset, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and evidence-based practices to enrich client experiences.

This role specifically focuses on youth clients, addressing their unique mental health challenges and needs. As an LPC, you will engage with adolescents facing various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your role is crucial in empowering these young individuals to achieve stability and resilience through targeted therapeutic interventions.

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
• Ability to comply with internal credentialing requirements necessary for clinical settings.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals with substance use disorders.
• Strong background in assessment and diagnosis, as well as providing individual and group therapy.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (EHR) and basic computer skills.

• Experience specifically working with youth and adolescents in a mental health setting.
• Previous involvement in multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Familiarity with community resources and networks for youth mental health support.
• Certification in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
