Job description

Electric Boat Information Technology (EB IT) is responsible for Electric Boat's enterprise and special use information systems, such as product design environments, collaboration platforms, and office productivity suites.  EB IT supports over 20,000 end-users in a wide variety of work environments, networks and locations. Electric Boat Information Technology is pursuing an Infrastructure Support Analyst to support a multi-year strategy to modernize the company's IT infrastructure within a robust cybersecurity environment.

Position Summary:

An EB IT Infrastructure Support Analyst will apply IT knowledge and expertise in a demanding fast-paced construction environment, including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Ability to translate NIST 800-171 & Risk Management Framework (RMF) security to actionable items
  • Install and configure new software and hardware
  • Support a wide variety of IT infrastructure projects and Windows Desktop operations activities
  • Support security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Key server vulnerability mitigation for Microsoft Windows Desktops
  • Monitoring system performance and making recommendations for improvements
  • Responding to user and management inquiries and resolving technical issues associated with special purpose systems
  • Understanding of Group Policies
  • Detailed understanding of Desktop imaging, including bare metal installations and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) 
  • Power shell script development

Candidates can expect to perform project oversight activities as well as system administration work.  Candidates will have opportunities to work with Windows, RedHat Linux as well as various cloud IaaS teams.  Candidates will need to be familiar with Microsoft products, various COTS licensing platforms, Active Directory and Cybersecurity controls. A successful candidate will work with a joint team of EB IT, Cybersecurity, and Customer Support Center personnel to implement, monitor, and improve Electric Boat's IT systems.       


Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of IT desktop engineering and operations experience
  • Comp TIA A+ or Comp TIA Security + certifications 
  • Active Secret security clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Associates / Bachelors In Computer related degree or equivalent Military Training preferred
  • Understanding and experience with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) preferred
  • Experience with Electric Boat’s Classified change management process preferred

  • Experience with Software and hardware deployment
