Contractor Opportunity: Powertrain Service Center Warranty Repair Authorization Agent (Remote) Location: Remote – USA Only Engagement Type: Contractor via Third-Party Supplier Start Date: 6/1/2026 Duration: 12 months with potential for extension About the Role We are seeking a Powertrain Service Center Authorization Agent responsible for the authorization of Dealer Warranty repairs for a major U.S.-based OEM vehicle. The agent will assess live repair requests submitted by dealers against the OEM's warranty policy, providing technical merit reviews and ensuring thoroughness. The agent provides live support to OEM dealers with questions related to pre‐authorization requests and operates from a home office equipped with reliable internet.

Project hours are Monday – Friday, 8‐hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time. Key Requirements Process warranty claims and support the team on technical queries Answer dealer questions via phone, email, or chat concerning warranty policy and claim submission; resolve issues with claim entry and submission Make decisions based on policies, procedures, and the technical merit of the warranty claim Provide live support to the Dealer Service Network in claim processing and issue resolution Maintain quality and service standards aligned with the contracted Service Level Agreements Recommend and implement operational efficiencies for continuous improvement Determine appropriate escalation points within the team and to Client SMEs Review performance and results with team leadership on a regular basis Deliverables or Project Scope Accurately process all warranty claims Serve as primary point of contact for dealer inquiries regarding warranty policies, claim submissions, and technical issues via phone, email, or chat Address and resolve dealer concerns related to claim entry Provide real‐time guidance to the Dealer Service Network Collaboration Tools or Platforms Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Internal inventory management systems for tracking and processing returns Communication tools for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent 0–2 years experience in automotive aftermarket, warranty management, interpreting repair orders, labor times, and service documentation; working knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic procedures 2–4 years experience using PC and various systems Preferred Qualifications Automotive Service Excellence Certifications (ASE) and/or a technical university degree Proficiency in verbal and written English language Mechanical certification with 3–5 years at school + workshop experience Expert technicians with 10+ years of experience Strong experience in claim assessing, pre‐authorization, and warranty audits Additional Information / Requirements Proficient in computer navigation with various systems and software Ability to engage with automotive dealers Knowledge of warranty policies and procedures, and technical documentation Knowledge of mechanical and electronic diagnostics, repair cycles, methods, and economic repair evaluation Review incoming pre‐authorization requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with warranty policy Evaluate repair justifications, diagnostic codes, and supporting documentation Accurately approve or deny repairs based on warranty criteria, cost thresholds, and OEM standards Support internal and external audits by ensuring all records are compliant and accessible Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and warranty teams to resolve complex cases Compensation Disclosure Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor's employer, ET eTeams, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.
