Bridge Over Troubled Waters Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In this full-time remote role, you will play a pivotal part in empowering individuals aged 18 and older who are facing challenges due to mental health issues. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at our center, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing personalized, recovery-oriented treatment plans tailored specifically to each client's needs.
  • Continuously assessing the mental health treatment needs of clients to ensure effective interventions.
  • Monitoring and revising individual service plans to reflect client progress and evolving needs.
  • Facilitating skill-building sessions to enhance clients' coping, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Providing education and resources to clients about available community services while serving as a steadfast advocate to help them access these essential supports.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with young adults and adults aged 18 and older who may experience challenges related to mental illness. This includes individuals facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders that interrupt their ability to achieve stability in their personal and community lives. Your role will be crucial in guiding them towards recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Current licensure by the state board in New Jersey, including one of the following: RMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD.
  • Ability to practice independently and without supervision.
  • No disciplinary actions on your license.
Preferred Experience
