Job description

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist with specialized expertise in seating, positioning, and mobility to support clients who use wheelchairs or other mobility equipment. A successful candidate is highly empathetic, can juggle the needs of our clients, programs and business, and is eager to make a lasting impact. We're a tech-first team so comfort working with new systems and tools will be an advantage. This role requires hands-on experience with wheelchair evaluations, seating/positioning assessments, and DME - so if that's your background, we want to hear from you.

We're recruiting now as we know it takes time to get credentialed with the plans we partner with, so we hope you're equally excited to get ahead of things and get introduced to Jukebox!

Role Highlights

  • Anticipated Start Date: Immediate
  • Compensation: $120 per Evaluation
  • Employment Type: Contracted, minimum of 5 hours of weekly availability
  • Location: In-Home Visits

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home wheelchair evaluations and seating/positioning assessments
  • Assess clients for appropriate DME, mobility equipment, and adaptive seating solutions
  • Deliver personalized, evidence-based recommendations for home modifications and mobility equipment
  • Educate clients and caregivers on fall prevention, safe transfers, and mobility techniques
  • Engage clients and families in collaborative care planning
  • Work closely with our team to share findings and support process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation through our electronic system, including detailed seating and mobility justifications

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active, unencumbered OT license
  • 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Specialized training or certification in seating and wheeled mobility (e.g. ATP, SMS, or equivalent hands-on experience) required
  • Demonstrated experience with wheelchair evaluations, seating/positioning assessments, and DME recommendations required
  • Experience in home health, aging in place, or disability services preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Proficiency with technology and digital documentation
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team

More About Compensation

  • Contractors are paid on a monthly basis, within 2 weeks of the previous month's end.
  • We pay per completed evaluation - this includes:
    • Travel to/from client's home
    • The evaluation itself
    • Documentation
  • If needed, we will pay additionally for extended travel - we will always discuss and approve ahead of time
