We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our compassionate team at M.D Family and Children Wellness Center. As an LMFT, you will engage with clients through various therapeutic modalities, primarily focusing on divorce and relationship counseling.

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while maintaining a structure similar to an in-office environment. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of client mood disorders, creating a foundation for personalized treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their specific goals, needs, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Utilize your expertise in a variety of therapeutic frameworks, such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, and narrative therapy, to effectively address the nuanced challenges clients face.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices, empowering them to take an active role in their healing journey.
• Continuously monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses comprehensive mental health needs.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to enhance therapy effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all client interactions are recorded thoroughly.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and foster teamwork.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work to reduce stigma surrounding mental health in the community.

You will primarily work with individuals and families navigating complex issues related to divorce, relationship dynamics, and mood disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the psychological impacts of relational challenges and the ability to guide clients toward healthier interactions and emotional resilience.

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field is required.
• Demonstrated ability to establish trusting therapeutic relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit empathy, sympathy, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational skills and time-management abilities to effectively balance caseloads and administrative duties.

• Experience in using various therapeutic modalities, particularly in providing services focused on divorce and relationship issues.
• Previous work in outpatient settings or telehealth environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with treatment strategies for mood disorders and empathy-based approaches.
