The M.D Family and Children Wellness Center is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Merced, California. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect clients' unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and available treatment alternatives, empowering them with self-care practices.
• Monitor and track client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to align with evolving needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure integrated care that enhances patient outcomes.
• Stay informed about advancements in mood disorder research to continuously improve therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in professional development opportunities, including regular team meetings and case consultations.
• Advocate for client needs and actively contribute to destigmatizing mental health issues within the community.

The primary patient demographic includes families facing challenges related to relationship dynamics, divorce, and parenting stressors. Our therapists work closely with couples and families from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing a respectful and empathetic approach to treatment. • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.

• The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus of $3,000 for qualified candidates.
