What is a Remote Patient Monitoring job?

A Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) job involves using technology to track patients' health data outside traditional healthcare settings, such as at home. Professionals in this role collect and analyze data from devices like blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, and wearables to help healthcare providers make informed decisions. RPM jobs can include roles like nurses, care coordinators, or technicians who support patients in using these devices and interpreting their data. The goal is to enhance patient outcomes, reduce hospital visits, and provide proactive healthcare. Many RPM jobs are remote and involve digital communication with patients.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Patient Monitoring position, and why are they important?

To excel in Remote Patient Monitoring, candidates typically need a clinical background such as nursing or allied health, experience with patient assessment, and strong analytical abilities. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, remote monitoring systems, and EHR software is often required, and certifications in telemedicine or chronic care management are beneficial. Excellent communication, empathy, and attention to detail help professionals build trust and respond quickly to changing patient conditions. These competencies are vital to ensure patient safety and provide effective care in a virtual healthcare environment.

What are the typical responsibilities of a Remote Patient Monitoring professional on a daily basis?

Remote Patient Monitoring professionals are responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient health data collected via digital devices, identifying potential concerns, and escalating issues to appropriate healthcare providers. Their day often includes regular virtual check-ins with patients to assess symptoms, provide education, and address questions or concerns. They collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to develop and adjust patient care plans. By proactively monitoring and communicating, they play a key role in improving patient outcomes and reducing hospital readmissions.

Job description

At AMC Health, we are redefining how care is delivered through advanced virtual caregiving. We partner with health systems, payers, and government organizations to extend care beyond traditional settings—supporting patients in their homes with real-time monitoring, clinical insight, and proactive intervention.

Our focus is on delivering meaningful outcomes—improving patient health, reducing avoidable utilization, and helping our partners navigate an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercial leader who can accelerate that momentum—someone who can expand our market presence, build strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable revenue growth while staying aligned with our mission to transform care delivery.

The Executive Vice President, Commercial Revenue is responsible for leading AMC Health’s end-to-end commercial strategy and revenue generation across key markets, including health systems, payers, and strategic partners.

This role will drive sustainable revenue growth by building high-performing teams, expanding market presence, and cultivating enterprise-level partnerships that align with AMC Health’s mission to transform care through advanced virtual caregiving.

The EVP will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering cross-functionally to ensure alignment between commercial strategy, client success, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth across targeted markets
  • Own pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue attainment across all commercial channels
  • Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and expansion strategies
  • Drive disciplined sales execution and performance management across the organization

Market Development & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with health systems, payers, government entities, and strategic partners
  • Position AMC Health as a leader in virtual care and remote patient monitoring within the healthcare ecosystem
  • Represent AMC Health at industry events, conferences, and executive forums
  • Leverage market intelligence to refine go-to-market strategy and competitive positioning

Commercial Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing commercial organization (Sales, Business Development, Account Management)
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability measures aligned to company objectives
  • Foster a performance-driven, collaborative culture consistent with AMC Health’s values

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with Client Success, Clinical, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless client experience and retention
  • Ensure strong handoffs from sales to implementation and ongoing account management
  • Provide leadership input into organizational priorities, growth initiatives, and resource planning

Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting discipline
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and effectiveness

Qualifications

Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare commercial roles
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth in healthcare services, digital health, RPM, or virtual care
  • Experience working with health systems, payers, and/or enterprise healthcare clients
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing, geographically distributed teams

Skills & Leadership Competencies

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at the C-suite level
  • Deep understanding of healthcare market dynamics and partnership-driven growth models
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Data-driven decision-making with strong business acumen

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel as needed to support business development and client engagement
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with a hands-on approach when needed
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on accountability and outcomes

Why This Role at AMC Health

  • Opportunity to lead commercial growth for a mission-driven organization transforming virtual care
  • Direct impact on expanding access to care and improving patient outcomes
  • Executive-level influence on company strategy and growth trajectory

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based incentive plan
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more
  • Remote-first work environment
