• Work collaboratively with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to implement effective mental health treatment strategies both within the clinic and in partnership with external healthcare providers.
• Conduct mental health training sessions for medical, psychiatric, and security staff as needed, enhancing their understanding and capability to address mental health issues.
• Effectively intervene and de-escalate mental health crises that may arise, ensuring immediate support for affected individuals.
• Participate in commitment hearings when necessary, contributing informed insights into the mental health status of individuals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic goals for clients, tailored to their unique histories, needs, and circumstances.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols and legal standards.
• Verify clients' mental health histories, including past treatments and psychotropic medication usage, to create comprehensive care strategies.
• Compile regular reports tracking client progress and special case reports as required by organizational protocols.
• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate referrals for clients transitioning out of the clinic.

Your clients will encompass a diverse range of individuals, including those experiencing acute mental health conditions, chronic psychological disorders, and various levels of emotional distress. You will play a critical role in promoting mental wellness and assisting clients through crises, recovery, and stabilization. Your holistic approach can contribute significantly to their long-term health outcomes.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of two years of practical counseling experience, ideally in clinical settings that involve complex patient demographics.

• Expertise or special training in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma intervention is highly regarded.
• Experience using telehealth tools and technologies for remote patient engagement and therapy delivery.

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
