Job description

Hybrid-Remote Role

Exceptional Base Comp + Bonus + 100% Employer-Paid Benefits

About the Firm

Our client is not your average CPA firm.

This is a progressive, women-owned public accounting firm based in the North Austin/Georgetown/Round Rock corridor — recognized nationally as one of the best firm cultures in the country. Founded in 2017, the firm has grown by doing things differently: investing deeply in its people, building genuine client relationships, and proving that a locally-owned firm can deliver an exceptional experience for both clients and team members.

They lead with service, empower growth through mentorship and independence, and celebrate the people behind the numbers. If you want to work somewhere your contributions actually matter — this is the place.

About the Role

We are looking for an early-career accounting professional who is hungry to learn, cares about quality, and wants to build their career inside a firm that will actually invest in them.

What You'll Do

• Assist in preparing individual, business, and partnership tax returns under senior guidance

• Support senior staff on client engagements — data gathering, analysis, and documentation

• Develop foundational accounting and tax knowledge through hands-on, real-world work

• Maintain organized, accurate workpapers in the firm's digital systems

• Communicate professionally with team members and clients as needed

• Meet project deadlines with strong self-management and attention to detail

What You Bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• 0–2 years of relevant experience

• Basic knowledge of accounting and tax concepts

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

• Clear, professional communication skills and active listening

• Ability to self-manage and meet target deadlines

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Familiarity with tax software (CCH Axcess Tax, PFX Engagement)

• Progress toward CPA or EA licensure

Location & Work Arrangement

This role is open to candidates located anywhere in Texas. The firm actively recruits across Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Abilene, El Paso, and surrounding markets.

Compensation & Benefits

$65,000 – $75,000 | Based on experience and past performance

In addition, our client offers one of the most comprehensive benefit packages in the independent CPA firm space:

• 100% company-paid medical coverage (Blue Cross & Blue Shield)

• 100% company-paid long-term disability & life insurance

• 401(k) with profit-sharing — 100% match on first 3%, 50% match up to 5%; discretionary profit-sharing on top

• 4 weeks of vacation per year + up to 12 days of PTO (bi-weekly accrual)

• Summer Hours — optional 4-day work weeks from Memorial Day through Labor Day

• 9 paid holidays + paid time off for certification exams and volunteer work

• Flex time

• Professional certification loan with zero-payback option

• Paid professional dues & memberships

• Retention Incentive Compensation Plan — paid at Years 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20

• Quarterly Team Production Incentive Bonus Program

• Individual Spot Bonuses available

• Employee Referral Bonus — $2,500 to $10,000 depending on role

• Dental & vision coverage available

• Structured career path — every team member has a learning roadmap from Day 1

Ready to make a move? Apply directly or reach out to our team at Benaiah Consulting Group. We work exclusively in the CPA firm space and would be glad to tell you more about this opportunity.
