Overview We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our collaborative and innovative team.

Qualifications

Fluency in Japanese Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law, or a similar degree in business; Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred. CPA, EA, or Juris Doctorate. Minimum 5 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, including coaching and mentoring associates. Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, organize, and communicate effectively. Proven ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate a continued commitment to learning about applicable strategies. Ability to grasp both the "big picture" and the "details." Ability to demonstrate appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment. Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to project quality and timely completion.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Assist with tax audits and resolve any tax discrepancies. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and tax workpapers. Provide tax planning advice to clients. Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations. Assist with special projects as assigned.
