As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) at Blue Ridge Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and craft individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively to develop pre-crisis and crisis responses, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment strategies.
• Ensure timely completion of all required documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining clear communication with team members.
• Engage in the use of evidence-based screening tools and methodologies, in accordance with the clinical team's direction.
• Facilitate the development and implementation of positive behavior support plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance program effectiveness.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring adherence to best practices in mental health care.
• Serve as a liaison to community partnerships, state agencies, and relevant service systems, fostering open lines of communication to support program goals.
• Develop and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to identify new partnerships and funding opportunities.
• Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities, including attending conferences, workshops and engaging in state-level meetings that relate to behavioral health practices.
• Embody the agency's mission and values in all interactions, promoting a culture of inclusion and community-centric support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to a collaborative team dynamic.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals seeking assistance for emotional disturbances, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. Your ability to form strong therapeutic relationships with clients will enhance their path to recovery and improve overall patient outcomes, contributing to the mission of fostering community integration and independence.

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Possession of an independent LMHC license recognized by the state board.
• Proven ability to maintain clinical records and draft detailed, compliance-ready reports.
• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills with the aptitude to articulate ideas effectively and engage with various stakeholders.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent clinical decisions based on professional expertise.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient therapy settings or those familiar with evidence-based practices in mental health counseling will be highly regarded. Additionally, experience working with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams is advantageous.
