Operational Planner
The Opportunity:
Support an Army headquarters in the development, revision, and review of operational plans (OPLANS), contingency plans (CONPLANS), and campaign plans. Contribute research, analysis, and planning inputs that enable effective operational design and execution. Assist in development and execution of exercises to test, improve, and validate plans. Apply military operations and planning experience to support operations assessments, mission analysis, commander's estimates, and senior-level briefings that inform decision-making. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders from military services, federal agencies, local government, and industry as necessary to synchronize efforts and optimize resources in a complex and dynamic theater of operations.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience supporting Military operations, operational planning, or staff operations within the U.S. Army or Joint organization
  • 3+ years of experience leading or facilitating the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), and mission planning efforts at the Division level or higher
  • 3+ years of experience developing, coordinating, and executing CONOPS, OPORDs, FRAGORDs, EXORDs, and supporting operational products from planning through execution
  • Experience synchronizing cross-functional stakeholders, integrating operational inputs, and driving planning efforts from concept development to mission execution
  • Experience supporting operational planning, battle rhythm management, staff integration, and command-level decision support
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and facilitating planning discussions across operational and technical teams
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting Army Service Component Commands (ASCC), Corps, Division, or Joint Task Force-level planning environments
  • Experience with campaign planning, operational design, or strategic planning efforts
  • Experience integrating operational, technical, cyber, intelligence, logistics, or information-related capabilities into planning efforts
  • Experience with Army operational systems and tools, including Palantir, Maven Smart Systems (MSS), or other mission command platforms
  • Experience coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced operational environments
  • Knowledge of Joint Planning Process (JPP) or Joint operational environments
  • Knowledge of Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
