• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, formulate accurate clinical diagnoses, and design tailored treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, employing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Document all client interactions comprehensively and confidentially, maintaining accurate treatment records, progress notes, and assessment results in accordance with professional standards.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and available local resources, advocating for their rights and needs.
• Remain informed of advancements in therapeutic techniques and mental health best practices through ongoing professional development and training.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Central Park Counseling Center, you will primarily work with a varied client population, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. Our clients seek assistance for a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and substance abuse. You will play a key role in supporting clients from different backgrounds and life experiences, ensuring a culturally competent approach in your therapeutic methods.

• Possession of an active state license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW).
• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field.
• Strong clinical assessment capabilities and diagnostic acumen.
• Minimum of two years of related experience in a mental health counseling role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to connect empathetically with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
• A commitment to adhering to high ethical standards and maintaining professionalism in practice.

• Experience in a clinical setting providing therapy services, preferably via telehealth.
