The Personal Lines Manager will lead and direct the Personal Lines Department towards agency goals. Will oversee the day-to-day operations and team development to obtain maximum productivity. Be an advocate of the company’s goals, vision, and core values.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Responsibilities)
Working Together
  • Manage business operations in assigned department to achieve company goals. This includes managing/analyzing budgets, P amp;L, balance sheets, establishing strategic goals, and sales reports.
  • Set department goals and objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities; customer satisfaction and books of business.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluations, promotion, retention, and termination activities.
  • Coordinate staff meetings to discuss developmental strategy, best practices, and process improvements.
Creating WOW
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyze and resolve quality and customer service problems, and recommend system improvements.
  • Resolve business issues and ensure that all escalated issues are closed.
  • Address business inquiries from customers and team members in a professional manner.
  • Identify areas of improvements and concerns and accordingly develop action plans and provide coaching.
  • Engage in product training, demonstrations, consumer awareness, branding and acquisition initiatives to raise awareness and revenues.
  • Demonstrate products to show potential customers benefits, and advantages and encourage purchases.
Earning Trust
  • Maintain staff engagement, training, coaching, and development of personal growth opportunities.
  • Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; evaluate department performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvements.

  • Identify resources, assign workloads, and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Develop new business programs to meet productivity and revenue goals.
  • Identify and evaluate trends and options, implement, and evaluate outcome.
What You’ll Bring to Us
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance Management, or another applicable field is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the insurance industry or closely related field is highly preferred.
  • Property amp; Casualty License at hire or within 180 days of hire. Must maintain during employment.
  • Ability to be highly organized, yet flexible in dealing with shifting priorities.
  • Quickly analyze fluctuating workloads and create procedures.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excel at teamwork and high-level customer service.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex industry documents.
  • Ability to thoroughly analyze product information, and make timely and practical recommendations to managers, producers, and clients.
  • Must demonstrate competence in computer and office equipment operations
  • Must be able to secure and maintain insurance license during employment
