Allegiance Mental Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team in Portland, Oregon. This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while providing essential mental health services. Although you will primarily work from your home office, you will remain connected with colleagues through telehealth platforms. • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique trauma recovery journey and resilience-building goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for participants to process trauma and develop sustainable coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support for all patients.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, connecting them with necessary resources.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available mental health resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing industry-leading electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings that focus on trauma-informed care practices and stay current with recent research advancements in trauma therapy.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma. This includes survivors of abuse, natural disasters, military veterans, and others grappling with the effects of traumatic experiences. Your role will be pivotal in helping these individuals process their past experiences and cultivate a path toward healing and resilience.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders alongside trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications to support clinical documentation and collaboration.
• A collaborative spirit that enhances team dynamics and patient outcomes.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing trauma-focused therapies is highly preferred.
• Prior experience working with a diverse patient population dealing with trauma and its myriad of effects on mental health.
• Comprehensive knowledge of resilience-building approaches and best practices in trauma care.
