We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team at the Lowland Behavioral Health Center. In this full-time remote position, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate mental health support and counseling services primarily to elderly individuals. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals through digital platforms, ensuring seamless communication and holistic care for our patients. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a consistent schedule geared towards both productivity and work-life balance.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, accurately identifying their specific emotional and psychological care needs.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions focused on facilitating coping strategies and emotional resilience among seniors facing life challenges.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual needs and promote recovery and well-being.
• Educate and involve family members and staff in recognizing the importance of mental health for elderly persons and strategies to support emotional wellness.
• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling to clients and their families, helping them navigate the emotional landscape of end-of-life issues.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and methodologies in your counseling sessions, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Your primary focus will be on elderly individuals who often face unique challenges such as health issues, social isolation, grief, and changes in lifestyle. At Lowland Behavioral Health Center, you will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, requiring cultural awareness and sensitivity to their individual experiences. The aim of your work will be to foster meaningful relationships built on trust, ultimately enhancing clients' quality of life.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited university.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in geriatric counseling and providing mental health support to older adults.
• Proficiency in implementing evidence-based counseling techniques and familiarity with the unique mental health challenges faced by the elderly population.

• Experience in addiction counseling or related fields, enhancing the ability to address a wider range of mental health issues.
• A strong foundation in working within integrated healthcare settings, collaborating effectively with other healthcare providers.
• Additional training or certifications in grief counseling, trauma-informed care, or similar areas would be advantageous.
