Renewance needs a motivated Business Development Representative to support growth across our battery lifecycle and energy storage services. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and building a strong sales pipeline within the energy and battery storage markets. They'll also manage client and segment discovery for burgeoning new segments like Data Center Energy Storage.

The compensation for this position is a base salary plus variable compensation, with an expected OTE of $110,000-$1300,000. This is based on national averages and does not include the benefits listed below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads across target customer segments (OEMs, utilities, IPPs, EPCs, and energy storage developers
  • Conduct outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, social media) to qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for senior sales leaders
  • Research accounts, understand client needs, and effectively position Renewance's lifecycle solutions
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM (e.g., HubSpot)
  • Support proposal development and client follow-ups to move deals forward
  • Collaborate with sales leaders and technical teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies
  • Support customer and segment discovery in the Data Center Energy Storage segment

Qualification

  • 24 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation (preferably in energy, industrial services, or technical solutions)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Highly organized with a disciplined, metrics-driven approach to pipeline development
  • Self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn complex technical offerings
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales engagement platforms

Travel & Location

  • Central or Eastern time zones strongly preferred, although highly qualified candidates will be considered regardless of location within the contiguous United States.
  • Requires 25% or more regional travel to tradeshows and similar industry events
