About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Directorate of Clinical Support, Dept of Radiolology in Tacoma, Washington.

Help
  • Handle day to day administrative management of the office, including planning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing administrative functions.
  • Research and prepare narrative and statistical material in a wide variety of formats in support of the administrative and management functions of the department.
  • Assure the propriety of formats, spacing, arrangements, and preparation of typed material in final form as prescribed by style manuals.
  • Responsible for placing orders for department supplies and equipment, ensuring the requests are submitted with proper documentation, and that the requests meet the intent of the procurement and operating policies.
  • Establish administrative clerical processes and procedures used to streamline department functions.
  • Enter information in the Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS); Defense Training Management System (DTMS), and Defense Travel System (DTS).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: screening and directing telephone calls and visitors; preparing reports; assisting with timekeeping functions; and managing correspondence using automated systems and various software programs to complete daily tasks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Information Management.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06)
