Job description

The Manager, Supply Chain & Order Management leads the end-to-end execution and continuous improvement of order management operations, including order entry, procurement, invoicing, returns, and overall order lifecycle performance. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while driving scalable processes that support business growth. Partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Operations, this role also collaborates with OEMs, suppliers, and distribution partners to strengthen order execution and optimize supply network performance. The role also provides leadership and oversight to the Order Management team, using metrics, forecasting, and process improvements to drive accountability, mitigate risk, and enable consistent, high-quality operational performance.

Primary Position Tasks:

  • Oversee end-to-end order management operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely fulfillment across customer and vendor transactions.
  • Lead order management support for programs and other business pursuits, including procurement, material planning, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Sales Operations to improve upstream order quality and streamline order processes.
  • Support and advance integrated supply chain strategy to improve operational effectiveness and alignment.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, forecasts, and backlog reporting to drive business outcomes and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment with accounting on invoicing, cost analysis, forecasting, and inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee order lifecycle performance, proactively mitigating risks impacting delivery, invoicing, and revenue.
  • Provide oversight of complex transactions, including RMAs, supplier performance issues, and fulfillment challenges.
  • Serve as an escalation point for order and supplier issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Implement and enforce audit controls to ensure order accuracy, invoice timeliness, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across order management and supply chain processes, including system and integration enhancements.
  • Interpret market and supply conditions to advise leadership on risks to cost, availability, and timelines.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets in alignment with financial and operational goals.
  • Lead training and enablement efforts to strengthen team capability and process consistency.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards, internal policies, and supply chain risk management requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain compliant documentation practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • 4 Year degreeor relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel
  • Experience working withOrder Management,Procurement, Sales Ops,and/orthird-party providers.
  • Understanding ofERP and CRM business systems, or similar.
  • Experience working ina commercialand federalbusiness.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • 4 Year degree or relevant experience.
  • 10+years of experience overseeing supply chain operations in a government contract environment and/or commercial environment.
  • Experience working in avalue-addedreseller/IT technology industry.
  • Process training and certification (i.e.Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus.
  • Experience or familiarity with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Costpoint preferred)
  • Experience inworking with C-level and other company executives.
