This is a Remote Position located in the USA for our company headquartered in Newton MA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works within the Technical Support Services team to deploy and support products effectively, in a timely and collaborative manner.
  • Uses their broad support and Healthcare IT expertise and experience to lead the team to deliver outstanding customer service as perceived by our customers.
  • Works closely with their team and with Services Leaders, Projct Managers, Product Managers, Product Development and Sales teams to deliver outstanding service to our customers to improve patient care.
  • Work closely with the Solution Architects and Product Management to conduct technology, architecture, stakeholder assessments using common methodologies and processes.
  • Uses rigor and attention to detail to meet our quality objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma, preferable in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare Integration knowledge is a must (HL7, DICOM, IHE)
  • 5+ years of experience in customer support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
  • Strong aptitude for solving problems independently and as a team
  • Shell scripts under bash or Ruby/Perl scripts
  • HTML, XML, PHP, and SQL
  • Experience with administration of standard service such as: IIS,Directory Server, NTP, NFS or OpenSSL
  • Good Knowledge of MS SQL DB management, Query and Administration.
  • Wide range of IT technical skills (Windows Server, Windows client, VMWare, Storage, Networking, Oracle, Backup Systems, etc.)
  • Network administration: IPv4 networks, NAT, VLAN and VPN
  • Network sniffing: Wireshark or tcpdump
  • Active Directory configuration and administration
  • Healthcare Integration knowledge and global standards like HL7, DICOM
  • Practical knowledge in using 3rd party integration engine like Mirth Connect is preferred

In addition, experience in most of the following areas:

  • VMWare vSphere core products: ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V.
  • Storage: FC infrastructure, Disk array design, setup and deployment, storage protocols = FC, NFS, DAS, NAS.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) setup and validation: BackupExec, NAS, Cloud.
  • Experience with administration of standard service such as: Apache, bind, Directory Server, NTP, NFS or OpenSSL
COMPETENCIES
  • Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
  • Requires experience with personal computer equipment. Must have advanced personal computer Windows skills.

  • Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain all of the software applications and peripheral equipment used by clients and staff.
