We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Market Enablement - Remote supports Optum Advisory's growth strategy by enabling strong market execution, pipeline discipline, and cross-practice collaboration. Operating through influence in a matrixed environment, this role focuses on coordination and execution rather than direct P&L ownership. The manager is part of the team responsible for market-level coordination and serves as a connective layer between Optum Advisory practices, Commercial Consulting Partners (CCPs), Payer Practice Leaders (PLs), and enterprise partners-including Optum Insight-to translate strategy into action and drive effective market engagement and sales execution.
The Market Manager role supports Optum Advisory's growth efforts by executing market-level coordination, pipeline support, and cross-practice collaboration activities. This role works closely with Practice Leaders, Commercial Consulting Partners (CCPs), and enterprise partners-including Optum Insight-to help advance opportunities, support sales execution, and ensure consistent market operations.
Operating in a matrixed environment, the Market Manager focuses on day-to-day execution, tracking, and coordination rather than strategy ownership or people leadership. The role is responsible for preparing insights, facilitating working sessions, supporting market plans, and ensuring follow-through on priorities that drive effective market engagement and sales execution.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Market Coordination & Support
    • Support facilitation of weekly market calls with OA Practice Leaders (PLs) and CCPs by preparing materials, tracking actions, and following up on next steps
    • Assist in gathering, consolidating, and summarizing market intelligence from OA practices, CCPs, Optum Insight, and marketing
    • Maintain tracking of market activity, engagement, pipeline status, and progress against plans
    • Prepare clear summaries and updates for market leadership
  • Planning & White Space Execution
    • Support analysis of market white space and help translate insights into defined actions and priorities
    • Assist with development and execution of market plans, including coordination across practices and roles
    • Track progress against market plans and highlight risks or gaps for leadership attention
  • Sales & Client Engagement Support
    • Support PLs and CCPs with meeting coordination, preparation, and follow-up for sales and client meetings
    • Assist with preparation of client-facing materials and internal briefings
    • Help ensure appropriate OA and Optum Insight capabilities are included in sales pursuits
    • Track client interactions and opportunity progress
  • Cross-Enterprise Coordination
    • Coordinate with Optum Insight and other Optum partners to support aligned market execution
    • Partner with marketing to support market-level campaigns, communications, and outreach efforts
    • Help ensure consistent messaging and coordination across Optum Advisory in the market
  • Operational Discipline
    • Maintain tools, trackers, and documentation to support pipeline discipline and market rhythm
    • Ensure follow-through on commitments, actions, and timelines
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, clarity, and consistency in market processes

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in sales support, market operations, analytics, or a related role
  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, advisory services, or health plan/provider environments
  • 2+ years of experience supporting pipeline management, sales execution, or go-to-market activities
  • Experience working with cross-functional and client-facing teams
  • Familiarity with consulting or professional services sales processes
  • Proven solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Proven ability to analyze data and market information and translate it into clear summaries and actions
  • Proven solid written and verbal communication skills, including preparing materials and facilitating working sessions
  • Proven comfort operating in a matrixed, fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Proven high attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to Optum, UnitedHealth Group, or large enterprise organizations
  • Experience supporting sales calls, account planning, or market planning activities
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and reporting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
