Job Title: Network Engineer
Duration : 12 Months
Location: Arkansas - Remote
Job Summary: Network Engineer assists with the support and maintenance of new and ongoing projects that involve the IT Data Center Infrastructure. Incumbent researches new network-based hardware and software products, which may provide solutions to Enterprise business problems. Individual provides and maintains an efficient level of service to the Enterprise through effective, continual, proactive monitoring and review.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, in Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or related. In lieu of degree, at least five (5) years of equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) years of direct experience in networking systems, computer repair and network operations.
  • Knowledge of operations and procedures including configuring, tuning, monitoring, securing, and managing network software and hardware.
  • CCNA or similar certification or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs IT network functions including maintenance, upgrades, configuration, operations, and performance tuning of all network hardware and software.
  • Possesses knowledge of and participates in the strategic planning process in order to effectively maintain successful network management processes consistent with goals and objectives.
  • Researches and implements network components including software, hardware, security, administration, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyzes and evaluates user requests for networking components and connectivity, services, and support.
  • Updates reporting mechanisms based on progression of tasks.
  • Participates in the completion of network-related projects assigned to the Network Services team, including routine responsibilities such as user-needs analysis, firmware and hardware installations and updates, vendor product and service analysis, monitoring work progression.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support as a part of the team on call rotation.
