Job description

About Us

Altro powers the next generation of wellness businesses with clinical infrastructure built for growth.

We're building a platform that enables wellness businesses to offer clinical services they currently can't provide on their own, including blood testing, prescriptions, and peptides, supervised by a clinical team. Think Shopify for wellness businesses.

The team behind Altro has done this before: Harvard Business School MBAs and a second-time founder, alongside operators and executives who've taken startups through exits as founding-team members. We're backed by top venture capital firms.

The tailwinds are massive: Peptides going mainstream, GLP-1s unlocking the category, the longevity movement in full swing, and AI unlocking what wasn't possible a year ago.

We're still early. Which means every hire matters. Join at the ground floor, work directly with the founders, and be part of something rare: a company at the intersection of a massive market shift and the moment when AI is reshaping what small teams can build.

Why This Role Exists

Our Head of Business Development leads a growing sales team and needs a dedicated partner to keep the operational engine running underneath — CRM hygiene, inbound response, documentation, and day-to-day admin.

This is a chance to build real ownership over the systems that keep a growing sales org moving. You'll get exposure to how a fast-growing B2B sales function actually operates, and your work will directly impact how much time the team can spend selling instead of doing admin.

What You'll Own
  • CRM administration and hygiene. Keep our HubSpot instance clean — pipeline stages, deal properties, workflows, and data hygiene. Build or modify fields and properties as we scale.
  • Inbound response and lead allocation. Serve as the first touchpoint for inbound inquiries. Respond promptly, route leads to the right team member based on territory, stage, or capacity, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Documentation. Turn verbal SOPs and one-off decisions into written, repeatable process docs. Some SOPs exist — you'll refine them and add new ones as we grow.
  • Reporting support. Keep dashboard data accurate and up to date. Flag to leadership when data isn't being entered correctly.

Additional support as capacity allows:

  • Sales asset updates — edits to existing decks, one-pagers, and battlecards from provided content and brand guidelines
  • Calendar and scheduling admin for the Head of BD
  • Light content drafting — first-pass follow-up emails and sequences for review, using existing templates

Requirements

What You Bring
  • 2-5 years in a sales operations, CRM administration, or sales support role
  • Hands-on HubSpot experience required — properties, workflows, pipeline management
  • Comfortable being the first response to inbound inquiries — professional, prompt, and organized under a steady stream of inputs
  • Strong deck and collateral skills in PowerPoint, Canva, Google Slides, or similar
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail — this role is the accuracy layer behind a fast-moving sales org
  • Self-directed — comfortable working from a documented task list rather than constant live direction

Bonus: experience in B2B SaaS

What Matters Less

Deck or brand design from scratch (we bring in freelancers for that)

  • Sales enablement program design or team training (the Head of BD owns this)
  • Prospecting or outbound work (owned elsewhere)
  • Complex analytics or dashboard building (we'll hire an analyst if we need this)

Benefits

Logistics
  • Location: US-based, remote
  • Hours: ~20 hours per week, with weekly overlap during US Eastern Time business hours
  • Classification: 1099 independent contractor
  • Compensation: $30-40/hour, depending on experience

Why This Role

You'll be the operational backbone of a growing B2B sales team at a seed-stage company with real momentum. You'll see how a fast-moving sales function actually operates from the inside, work directly with the Head of BD, and build ownership over the systems that keep the engine running. If you thrive on order, clean data, and being the person who makes everything else run — this is that role.
