Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL)ย isย hiring aย Operationsย Manager,ย Homeย and Building Solutions (HABS)ย on aย permanentย basis on ourย HABSย team.ย This position is a remote opportunity andย canย beย basedย in Alberta,ย Saskatchewanย orย Manitoba.ย This role requires travel of approximately 40% or more throughout Western Canada.ย 

The Manager, HABS Operations provides strategic leadership and coaches Operations Advisors and retail leaders to drive sustainable sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance performance across their designated zone through effective planning, development, and execution of business initiatives.ย If you are a dynamic leader with a passion for driving long-term retail growth, building strong partnerships with local Co-ops, and fostering financially sustainable operations, we encourage you to apply today!ย 

What you'll do:ย 

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive sales growth, profitability, and operational performance across Home Centre and Lumber operations within the designated zone.ย 
  • Coach, develop, and support Operations Advisors and Local Co-op leaders in identifying opportunities, executing action plans, and achieving business objectives.ย 
  • Lead operational profitability and improvement initiatives through performance reviews, financial analysis, and implementation of sustainable growth strategies.ย 
  • Collaborate with Local Co-ops and Home Office teams to share market insights, align strategic priorities, and ensure successful execution of programs, projects, and business initiatives.

The Team: You will work closely Operations Advisers,ย Local Co-op General Managers, CEOs Operational Division Managersย and will haveย 3ย direct reports,ย andย will report into theย Senior Manager, HABS Operations.This team strives to cultivate a culture that is customer-centric,ย collaborative, empowering team members to deliver exceptional service, and drive continuousย growth.ย 

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in ourย Consumer Productsย business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such asย FCL Managers, Local Co-ops, Zoneย Staffย and suppliers.

The Customers: You willย demonstrateย a strong customer focus by supporting Local Co-op leaders, HABS management, and staff through effective training, guidance, collaboration, and relationship building.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • Haveย 8+ Years of relevant progressively responsible experience in retail store operations.ย 
  • Have aย Bachelor's Degree in Business, or Commerce.ย (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).ย 
  • Experienced in partnering with dealer networks and providing responsive support in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Strongย proficiencyย with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.ย
