This Camp & Remote Operations Manager position in Inuvik, NT, puts you at the helm of an integrated Arctic services operation. You will lead camp, catering, logistics, and workforce support for oil and gas, military, and industrial clients at the top of Canada.

You will report directly to the President of a 100% Indigenous-owned development corporation with over $1B in assets. This is more than a management job; it is an opportunity to manage a significant P&L while contributing to Inuvialuit employment and Arctic community development.

THE ROLE

  • Financials: Own the full P&L, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and margin management.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary liaison for industrial and military clients; lead contract renewals and RFP responses.
  • Recruitment: You will be an integral part in the selection of Chefs, Housekeeping, and other team members, including their onboarding and training.
  • Safety: Champion a safety-first culture and ensure full regulatory and WSCC compliance.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive operations leadership in camp services, remote logistics, or hospitality management.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing a full P&L and complex budgets.
  • Clearance: Must be eligible for Government of Canada "Secret" security clearance.
  • Licensing: Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Assets: Experience with Indigenous organizations, knowledge of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, or prior Arctic/remote operating experience.

NORTHERN LIVING

Inuvik is a vibrant hub of 3,200 residents offering world-class outdoor recreation. Enjoy 50+ days of Midnight Sun in the summer for hiking and fishing, and spectacular Northern Lights in the winter. The community features full amenities, including schools, and retail. Northern Allowance (Inuvik)

To offset the cost of living and travel in the North, employees in Inuvik receive a Northern Allowance of per year (2025/2026 period).

2026 Income Tax Rates (NWT)

The Northwest Territories offers some of the most competitive personal income tax rates in Canada. The actual tax bill will be significantly reduced by the NWT basic personal amount and the Northern Residents Deduction available for living in Inuvik.
