As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Open Doors Counseling, you will:

• Conduct thorough and ongoing assessments to identify the unique needs of each patient, ensuring personalized care plans.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication among supervisors, family members, and healthcare staff regarding patient progress and necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Prepare and provide a tentative schedule of your appointments, home visits, and other observations aimed at monitoring and enhancing client engagement.
• Coordinate necessary home visits, which may include conducting observational assessments, reviewing patient charts, and engaging in staff interviews to gather relevant data.
• Ensure programs are effectively implemented and that client care strategies are followed closely.
• Engage in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other relevant discussions to foster effective treatment strategies and overall program alignment.
• Document observations and create comprehensive progress notes on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions to prepare team members in the implementation and documentation of care plans.
• Provide ongoing follow-up interviews and observations to address evolving patient needs, facilitating better long-term outcomes.
• Manage patient records with diligence to ensure that information is accessible to authorized personnel and complies with ethical standards.
• Act as a liaison between Open Doors Counseling and the broader mental health community to foster relationships aimed at advancing our services.
• Contribute to the development of training materials and procedures aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of our care programs.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse array of clients, including adults and youth, from various backgrounds and with differing mental health needs. This includes individuals struggling with family issues, relationship difficulties, substance misuse, trauma, and general mental health concerns. The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• A valid and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) within the state of Georgia.
• At least two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
• A solid foundation in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is strongly preferred.
• A thorough understanding of the legal and ethical frameworks governing mental health practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
• Competency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software and other healthcare technologies.

Preferred candidates may have advanced training or certifications in specialized areas such as trauma counseling, addiction recovery, or family dynamics. Experience in integrated care settings that blend behavioral and physical health services will also be advantageous.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. Benefits include:
