Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations to assess the emotional and behavioral needs of students.
  • Develop and implement individualized action plans that promote positive mental health and academic success.
  • Facilitate counseling sessions for students and their families, providing them with evidence-based strategies for coping with challenges.
  • Collaborate with educators to identify at-risk students and implement preventative interventions.
  • Monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary to reflect each student’s evolving needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary, ensuring that students receive timely assistance in emergencies.
  • Engage in regular training and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents facing various emotional and behavioral issues, including anxiety, depression, social struggles, trauma, and family-related challenges. By addressing their mental health needs, you will play a critical role in helping them achieve a positive school experience and develop essential life skills.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work and an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New Jersey are required.
  • Proven clinical skills in evaluations and treatment planning tailored to children and adolescents.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to assess and address diverse mental health situations.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with children or adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits
