What Youโ€™ll Do

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role on client teams, taking ownership of your work and collaborating closely with other Analysts, Senior Analysts, and lead actuaries. Youโ€™ll support important client projects by analyzing data, assisting in building models, and contributing insights that help shape client strategies. The Actuarial Analyst role also provides opportunities to engage with clients, support new business efforts, and participate in Athenaโ€™s broader community. This position offers a strong foundation for an actuarial consulting career, with opportunities to advance through progressively challenging roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Researching and gathering information to support project work

  • Reviewing and analyzing plan data, financial statements, and other actuarial work products

  • Providing input with the development of effective solutions

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining actuarial programs and Excel models

  • Assisting with the preparation of client reports and presentations

  • Participating in Athenaโ€™s strategy meetings and providing feedback on community initiatives

  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to personal and professional integrity while supporting Athenaโ€™s mission and values
