Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and remote patient monitoring tools is essential. A Remote Oncology RN is a registered nurse who specializes in caring for cancer patients while working from a location outside of a traditional healthcare facility. These nurses provide support, education, symptom management, and care coordination for oncology patients through telehealth platforms, phone calls, or online communication.
